What is SQOX?
SQOX is a social news ecosystem for posting links and making comments.
What are SQOX Points?
SQOX Points are our locally issued virtual currency.
SQOX Points are an informational-currency only, and have no monetary value whatsoever.
Any attempt to sell either SQOX Points or SQOX accounts will result in immediate account termination.
How do I acquire SQOX Points?
SQOX Points can be acquired in more than a dozen unique ways simply by participating on our website.
How old do I have to be to register?
We require all users to be at least 18 years old to register a new account.
Rules of the Exchange
These rules are a part of our Terms of Service that all users agree to when registering a new account.
The following rules are not meant to be an exhaustive list of actionable offenses.
We reserve the right to remove any content, or any user that repeatedly breaks the rules.
1. Have fun with the English language.
2. Don't be a jerk to other users.
3. Do not engage in illegal activities.
4. Participate in good faith.
5. No harassing, no doxing, no witch hunting.
6. No brigading, no trolling.
7. Do not encourage or incite violence.
8. No drug sourcing. This includes grey areas like RCs, Kratom
9. No Astro-turfing. No undeclared agents.

10. No spam, no ads, no affiliate links.
11. No broad generalizations. Be specific.
12. No bots! Only humans allowed.
13. Do not post any users' personal information (this includes your own!)
14. No upvote begging.
15. No meme posts.
16. No weapons sales/swaps. Includes any weapon, knives, guns, throwing stars...

All SQOX users can use the "Report" button to alert the admins of rule breaking content/users.
Users who abuse our reporting system by filing multiple false or unjustified reports will have their own accounts terminated.
Reporting User Content
Users may report any user-generated content by clicking the "Report" button and selecting the rule being broken.
Abusing the reporting system by filing many false reports may result in account termination.
Point Raffles
Point Raffles are a fun way to reward a comment's creator (OC), as well as potentially win SQOX Points.
When a submission is archived (24 hours after submit date), our automated system chooses at random one winner for each raffle.
Raffle winner receives 85% of Points, OC receives 10%, and 5% goes to SQOX.
Tagging
User tagging allows each user to label any other user to make it easier to identify that user in the future.
Tags are only visible to the user that created them.
Gifts
Give a virtual gift to any other users' comment or submission to show appreciation for their content.
OC receives 50% of the gift cost, and SQOX receives the other 50%.
Word Games
Word Games give users permission to have fun with the English language, expand their vocabularies, and potentially win a percentage of the Word Games Pool.
Each submission comes equip with 24 games, the answers chosen at random from our dictionary. Each Clue is potentially the answer word.
Choose any Clue you wish, click "Load" to place the Clue into your comment.
You may use up to 6 Clues per comment. Once you submit your comment, you will be informed
if you have solved any puzzles.
The Word Games Pool (15% of total Point Pool) will be divided equally among the winners. Should there
be no winners, the Comment Pool will absorb the uncollected Word Games Pool, bringing the Comment Pool to a total of 90% of the total Pool.
On it's surface, Word Games appears to be a simple guessing game. While true, the real fun part is using
the Clues in your comment. Most words from the English dictionary are not common words found in most peoples' vocabulary.
It can be a real struggle attempting to use unfamiliar words. Use the "D" button to get a Clue's definition from Collins Dictionary.

Confidence Tokens
Confidence Tokens are a fun way to show support to your favorite users, as well as potentially gain more SQOX Points
Users who hold Confidence Tokens are referred to as "Custodians".
All Points that are collected from the sale of Confidence Tokens, are placed into the token issuer's "Confidence Reserve".
Users can buy and sell as many tokens as they wish at any time. The price is a function of the float. Starting at 0.01 Points, the price of any Confidence Token will fluctuate by +/- 0.01 with every 100 tokens that are in existence (float).
All Sell orders are taxed 5%. An additional tax of 0.01 Points per token is included in the sale price.
Token issuers can click "PAYOUT" on their token menu to receive any taxes collected or pending. Minimum payout is 10.00 Points.
Personality Board
The Personality Board helps to reinforce the positive aspects of character that we here at SQOX wish to encourage.
Each user has their own Personality Board, located behind their comments. For each vote a user casts on a comment, the comment's author receives one vote on the voter's Personality Board.
Users can update and modify their Personality Board votes at any point in the future too.
Private Groups
Private Groups give users the power to create/join topic-specific groups that are not visible from the SQOX homepage.
Private Groups, while visible to the public, are private in the sense that you need to own at least one Membership Token in order
to participate (make comments, vote, submit links/text).
Users who hold Private Group Membership Tokens are referred to as "Custodians".
All Points that are collected from the sale of Private Group Membership Tokens, are placed into the Group's "Membership Reserve".
Users can buy and sell as many tokens as they wish at any time. The price is a function of the float. Starting at 0.01 Points, the price of any Membership Token will fluctuate by +/- 0.01 with every 100 tokens that are in existence (float).

All Private Groups have a "Quarterly Payout", or "QP". Every three months, the Membership Reserves pays out all the Points the Group has collected, distributed evenly amount all tokens outstanding (float).
Voting Power
Voting Power is required in order to use almost every feature on SQOX.
You may buy up to 11x voting power. Current rate is 300.00 Points per each +1 voting power.
Voting Power expires after 30 days.
Private Mail Postage
All Private Mail requires a postage fee. The default is 1.00 Points.
Users may alter this in their user settings menu (10.00 Points max.).
User receives 50% of postage, SQOX receives 50%.
Agencies and Agent Declarations
Users must declare if they are an agent on behalf of any 3rd party company, or government. If a user is operating on behalf of
ANY organization, officially or unofficially, then they must navigate to their user "Settings" page, and declare the
organization name.
Administrators reserve the right to terminate any and all accounts that are covertly operating on SQOX
on behalf of an organization.
Delete Account
You can delete your entire account and all it's contents.
Your account data may still remain on off-site backups for up to 6 months.
SQOX has no control over 3rd party Internet services that may collect and store your comments/submissions in their own
databases.
Vote Check
We enforce a 75/25 upvote/downvote ratio policy.
In a submission thread, each downvote on a comment must also have at least 3 upvotes on other comments, or all of your
votes will be silently deactivated.
The Vote Check button offers a convenient way for users to instantly check if their up/down vote ratio is in line with the rules.
Invitation Codes
You can create invitation codes to give to friends and family so they can join the fun!
Each invitation code will cost you 1000.00 Points. 100% of these Points are attached to the Invitation Codes, and will be deposited into the new user's account once
registration is complete.
Unused invitation codes may be revoked and all 1000.00 Points will be returned to the invitation code creator.
The Underground
The Underground unlocks when any submission thread has at least 25 comments.
The Underground comments are a unique, triple-layer format. One comment per user, per Underground.
There is no Ante to make a comment Underground. 500 comment limit in the Underground.
Underground Assembly
The Underground Assembly is a place to create "Measures". Measures are statements that are to be voted on by other users.
There are three types of votes: Yea, Nay, and Abstain.
Users may also place a prediction on the outcome of each
Measure vote (voting results not revealed until after archiving process is completed).
RSS Feeds
Look for the RSS feed buttons (located in the top right corner of pages and sections)
RSS Feeds allows users to receive updates on specific SQOX content using a 3rd party RSS reader.
